Caroline: The Artist

A self-taught artist, Caroline has been drawing since childhood, continually exploring new techniques and styles. She later attended Newberry College with the intention of pursuing a career in medical illustration, a path that reflected her deep fascination with both art and the natural world. Although that career ultimately took a different direction, her dedication to art never wavered.

Through persistence, discipline, and a tenacious creative spirit, Caroline taught herself graphic design and went on to build a successful career in the corporate world. That professional experience sharpened her technical skill and creative confidence, ultimately inspiring her to begin submitting work to juried exhibitions and galleries.

Her artwork has been featured in pop-up exhibitions including Nude Night Tampa and Nude Night Orlando, and she has received multiple honors from the American Whippet Club Art Exhibition, including a People’s Choice Award in 2018. Caroline is currently a juried artist-in-residence at the South Carolina Artisan Center, located near her home in Walterboro.

Today, Caroline works as a freelance graphic designer and commission artist, specializing in traditional pen-and-ink drawings. Each piece emphasizes form, movement, and character through expressive line work and meticulous detail. Her work carries a timeless sensibility—rooted in craftsmanship, restraint, and emotional presence—capturing the quiet power and individuality of her subjects.
